Let's work together

I'm a screenwriter and tutor with broad experience in both professional writing and film education. Since 2016, I was the Head of Studies at the Icelandic Film School, after several years leading the Screenwriting & Directing Department.

Alongside my teaching, I write professionally for both series and feature films. My produced features include City State, Polite People, and Brave Men's Blood, which have screened internationally, including at Rotterdam. The remake rights to one of my films were bought by James Mangold's production company.

I'm currently commissioned as a writer in four TV series writers' rooms. I also work as a screenwriting consultant, TV series fixer — brought into writers' rooms to rebuild a series' engine — external examiner, and advisor in quality reviews for film schools.

In recent years, I've delivered guest lectures, workshops, and masterclasses in screenwriting at schools and festivals internationally. I also teach a story structure method I've developed called "Action Blocks," presented at events such as the Reykjavik International Film Festival (RIFF), Festival du nouveau cinéma, and others.

I'm always open to opportunities for:
Guest lecturing
Workshops & masterclasses
Screenwriting consultancy

Where can I work

I’m based in the European Union and happy to collaborate on projects, lectures, and workshops anywhere in Europe or beyond. Within the EU, I can work freely, and for the UK or other non-EU countries, I can easily come in for short-term workshops or guest teaching as an external contractor.

I’ve taught and mentored writers in many different settings - from film schools and festivals to professional development programmes - and I enjoy adapting each session to fit the needs of the group.

I usually handle my own travel and accommodation, so bringing me in for a session or workshop is simple and flexible.
